Gold Overview:

Weeks price data for week ending 4/25/02: High 336.8, Low 327.6 close 333.7

Next Weeks price projection from Pivot Point Calculation

R-2: 341.90
S-1: 328.60

Looking at the chart below you will see the market formed a Bullish Harami cross pattern that was also near the Monthly target low of 322.3 based on the pivot point calculations taken from the preceding months data ( H-359.5, L-326.3, C-336.9).

The actual low was 319.8. Not a bad margin of error. As the market worked higher notice the breakout point from the extended downtrend? This should be a formidable point of support for next week.

It also corresponds to the weekly S-1 calculation of 328.6. Traders may want to monitor that level as a potential buying opportunity. Or to have stops placed below that target zone.

The next chart shows the potential of a developing chart pattern called a Bull Flag, which measures up to around the 343 area. This also corresponds to a level of old lows (support) and a failed high made on March 15th or so. The targeted price projection using pivot point analysis shows 341.90 as another level of resistance.

Traders and investors may want to keep note of these numbers as turning points or levels to buy or sell against. The purpose that I use Pivot Point Analysis from different time frames other than just the daily numbers is because it helps me to quickly identify other corresponding levels using technical analysis.
