NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Stocks looked set to open mixed Friday as the market tries for another week of gains.
Investors will be eyeing two key economic reports. S&P and Nasdaq futures were mixed in early trading.
Stocks rose Thursday, with tech shares leading the way. The Nasdaq composite rose almost 2 percent while the Dow and S&P 500 rose about 1 percent.
Overseas, stocks ended higher in Asia and were mixed in Europe.
Treasury bond prices edged higher, pushing the yield on the 10-year note down to 3.52 percent from 3.54 percent late Thursday. Bond prices and yields move in opposite directions.
The dollar rose against the yen and was little changed against the euro.
On the economic front, personal income and spending figures for May are due, with economists expecting a 0.3 percent increase in income and a 0.2 percent rise in spending. In April, personal income was flat and spending dipped 0.1 percent.
The revised University of Michigan consumer sentiment figure for June will come out after trading begins. The preliminary reading, released earlier this month, was 87.2, down from 92.1 in May. According to Briefing.com, economists are predicting a slight upward revision, to 87.7.
Looking at stocks, sneaker maker Nike (NKE: Research, Estimates) Thursday reported an earnings increase of 19 percent, although its profit was slightly lower than Wall Street's estimates. The stock slipped 4.7 percent to $54.24 in after-hours trading, according to Island ECN.
Earlier in the day, the U.S. Supreme Court dismissed a case involving Nike, which is being sued in California for false advertising.
Spice and seasonings maker McCormick (MKC: Research, Estimates) reports its second-quarter earnings before the opening bell Friday.
