Aqui fica o resumo em inglês de meio da sessão norte americana.
It's all quiet on the Western front... Given the limited number of earnings announcements, corporate developments, and brokerage calls, today's session is anything but exciting... The economic announcements did not have much of an effect on the market and the Personal Spending report (at 0.3%, in-line with consensus), the Personal Income report (at 0.1% versus consensus of 0.2%), and the revised reading of 89.7 (consensus is 87.7) for the Michigan Sentiment report went largely unnoticed... The market was resilient in the early trade as the indices reached up from their lows and spent the bulk of the afternoon in positive territory due to gains in influential sectors such as semiconductor, financial, retail, biotech, and transportation... As has been the trend of late, however, the market's fate has been inverted in the last half hour, as the indices reversed their course... The blue-chip averages now find themselves in negative territory and the Nasdaq maintains roughly half of its earlier gains due to losses in the semiconductor, drug, paper, utility sectors... Elsewhere, Treasuries have been under pressure and have wiped out all of their earlier gains... The 10-yr note is now -5/32, with its yield at 3.56%... NYSE Adv/Dec 1842/1217... Nasdaq Adv/Dec 1624/1270.
