The Dow Jones industrial average fell 0.4 percent on Monday on weakness in the dollar and concern about Wal-Mart's disappointing holiday sales. The Nasdaq composite index gained 0.2 percent on strength in the technology sector.
Going into November's final day, the Dow is up more than 448 points while the Nasdaq is up almost 132 points.
