May Options Expiration
The adjacent charts are of the Nasdaq Composite and the Bullish Percent Index for the NDX going back to 1998. The vertical dashed blue lines correspond to the May options expiration date. The May options expiration date does appear to be a consistent turning point, whether forming bottom or a top. Of course, five years is hardly enough to determine a real statistical certainty.
