2- Indicadores de sentimento indiciarem exaustão (BPCOPMQ - 64.62, BPSPX - 74, ..., VIX - low of 20.57 on 5/16/03).
3- Investors Intelligence Index of Bullish Market Opinion of newsletter writers report as of 5/21/03 showed 56.0% Bulls and 20.9% Bears and the American Association of Individual Investors Survey shows 63% Bullish and 16% Bearish--one of the most extreme readings in the past 15 years.
4- Barron's "Big Money" poll was featured on the front cover of 5/5/03. Bulls outnumbered bears by 5.5 to 1, or 60% versus 11%. Stated another way, of those large-fund managers expressing a clear bullish or bearish opinion, 85% were bullish, while only 15% were bearish. As a group, large-fund managers long have consistently underperformed the indexes, so it seems like a good bet that they are wrong to be so Bullish.
