No. 2 wireless phone company earns 1 cent a share, sees 3Q results below analysts' expectations.

CHICAGO (Reuters) - Motorola Inc., the world's second-largest wireless telephone company, posted a net quarterly profit on Tuesday, but forecast third-quarter results below analysts' expectations.
Motorola (MOT: Research, Estimates), based in Schaumburg, Ill., reported a second-quarter net profit of $119 million, or 5 cents a share, compared with a loss of $2.3 billion, or $1.02 a share, in the year-ago quarter.
Excluding one-time items, it posted a profit of $19 million, or 1 cent a share.
