Intel Raises 3rd-Quarter Sales Forecast to as Much as $7.8 Bln
Aug. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Intel Corp., the world's biggest computer-chip maker, increased its third-quarter sales forecast and profitability estimate.
Sales will be $7.3 billion to $7.8 billion, after a forecast of $6.9 billion to $7.5 billion, and gross margin, the share of sales left after paying production costs, was increased to 56 percent from 54 percent, the Santa Clara, California-based company said in a statement distributed by Business Wire.
