Bom dia, isto é parte do David Nichols ontem (não sei se aparecem os gráficos - tentei converter para .jpg)
Now I want to switch over to Tim Wood's recent issue, and his fascinating description of the very rare "Three Peaks and a Domed House" pattern that he argues is currently playing out in the markets. This intricate pattern was originally characterized by George Lindsay a long time ago. Tim actually sought out the original writings of George Lindsay before publishing this issue.
I'm just going to show you Tim's charts and a few brief excerpts from his much lengthier piece. If you're a subscriber, you should link immediately to our site and pore over it. If you're reading this but don't have access to our web site...well...you're just blowing it.
Here is Lindsay's "3 Peaks and a Domed House" Pattern, followed immediately by Tim's current labeling of the pattern. Please keep in mind that the model of the pattern is not a "scale model", but rather just a guide for how the pattern ebbs and flows.
If this is indeed happening now -- and the evidence is pretty in-your-face that it is -- then we're coming into the critical zone. It's important to note that the big down leg coming up should theoretically drop quickly back down to the low at point 10, which works out to about 800 on the S&P 500. That's a big drop, and it comes all-of-a-sudden too. Here's how George Lindsay originally described this down leg from 27 to 28 on his pattern:
"Following point 27, the average drops abruptly and returns to the level of point 10, or within a very few points of it. Sometimes prices get back to the starting level in one continuous downtrend, and sometimes there are extended recoveries on the way down. But there has never been an exception to the rule that the entire gain in a Domed House has eventually been canceled.
Interestingly, this looming decline also fits in pretty darn well with the Nikkei comparison from the early 90's, and also with Professor Sornette's anti-bubble prediction.
One last note: check out Tim's analysis on the U.S. dollar too. Scary!
