US TSYS/Debt limit: Tsy says to avoid breaching the debt limit, SLGS
sales will stop at 3pm ET on Thurs. Tsy may employ "other maneuvers"
they say. Curent debt limit is $8.148 tril.
"In the absence of the gold standard, there is no way to protect savings from confiscation through inflation."

US TSYS: A spokeswoman for the U.S. Treasury says that without action,
the Treasury would hit its debt limit today.
"In the absence of the gold standard, there is no way to protect savings from confiscation through inflation."

UST announcements: $22b 2y for Wed, $14b 5y for Thur, and $20b 3m and
$18b 6m bills for Tues auction. NO CAVEATS on any announcements.
