Media graphics company reported January quarter earnings of $0.27 per share, five cents ahead of expectations while posting revenues as expected. During the conference call, the company indicated that revenues will be flat to up 5% this quarter ($566 to $594 million) compared to the current Reuters Estimates consensus of $532.0 million. Gross margins will continue to see improvement by 50 to 100 basis points, according to the company.

Accounting software company (also know as business solutions) reports operating earnings of $0.82 per share, six cents ahead of the average forecast from Reuters Estimates. Revenue of $663 million beat the consensus of $641 million. However, they guided profit estimates for the critical April quarter to $1.42 to $1.47 per share. That is lower than the current expectations of $1.48 per share. Revenue guidance for this quarter was generally in line with expectations. 

Akamai Tech (AKAM)  11.80 +1.04 (+9.7%)
E-business infrastructure company is relatively small, but has traded actively after hours. It reported earnings of $0.10 per share, in line with expectations, but revenue of $57.6 million beat the consensus of $55.9 million. On its conference call, the company said that for the current quarter, it expects sales of $59 to $61 million and earnings per share of $0.10. Those figures compare favorably to Reuters Estimates averages of $58.9 million and $0.11. 

NETGEAR (NTGR)  14.48 -2.12 (-12.8%)
A second company that insists on capitalizing its entire name reported earnings. This networking company stock has taken a hit even though it reported operating earnings of $0.23 a share, two cents ahead of expectations. Revenue of $105 million was up 21% from last year, but a bit below the expected $108 million level. The company said profits and revenues in the current quarter would be in line with current Wall Street forecasts.
