The Conference Board’s index of leading indicators increased 0.1% in March, slightly below analysts’ expectations. While this month’s increase in the leading index was modest, it has increased 2.9% since October. This solid growth in the index over the last six months indicates that the pace of the ongoing economic recovery should remain strong through early-Fall.
